The 325th Fighter Wing welcomed a new Commander to Tyndall Air Force Base Wednesday.
Colonel David Graff took command during a Wing Change of Command ceremony Wednesday morning.
Brigadier General John K. McMullen relinquished command. "You know we've loved the mission, we love the area but more importantly we love the people that we've been associated with. The people that we get to touch and work with every day,” said General John K. McMullen.
As Commander, Colonel Graff will lead more than 4,000 personnel who train and prepare F-22 Pilots, Intelligence Officers, Maintainers, and other support specialties for worldwide assignment to Combat Air Force units.
"We're transitioning to an Air Combat Command and we're looking forward to eventually, we're going to get the F-22 operational squadron into town. From that point prepare to support our combatant commanders with an operational F-22 group," said Colonel Graff.
This is not the first time Colonel Graff has been assigned to Tyndall. Three of his children were born in Panama City.
