Now there's talk Bense would be an ideal running mate for Charlie Crist, the front-runner for the GOP nomination for Florida Governor.
Thursday, Bense spoke highly of Crist and the other major candidate, Tom Gallagher. But as for becoming a running mate, he's not writing any campaign speeches.
He told NewsChannel Seven he wasn’t seeking the office. When we asked if he would accept it if offered, he responded “Never Say Never.”
