Bay District School Superintendent James McCalister has reason to celebrate.
Florida's other school superintendents have chosen him to lead their association. McCalister was elected this week as the President of the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.
He was installed on Monday, and presided over his first board of directors meeting immediately after the installation.
In addition to presiding over the groups' sessions, he will make committee appointments and represent the group in state and national meetings.
