Every hunter has heard of someone who has had a similar accident. Several years ago a medical report collected dozens of such cases, pointing out how dangerous hanging 30 feet in the air on a flimsy contraption can be. But at least it gives the deer a fighting chance.

It is sad that the press reports on this type of incident, but the good things done by hunters in the area don't get a peep. The clubs like Outdoors Without Limits which helps the handicapped get outdoors is fantastic, yet, you never hear about it. The giving spirit of hunters are also never heard of. Only when someone gets hurt do you hear anything about it from our press. It really is sad.

This happened to me 6 yrs ago and I broke my back. Its been a long road to recovery. I wasn't wearing a safety harness when the stand I was in had the seat break. My thoughts and prayers are with him. I'm a member of Outdoors Without Limits a club for handicap outdoors persons. Let us know if we can help.
