A teenager mauled by a cougar over the weekend could face criminal charges.

The captive cougar named 'Chaos' escaped from its cage at a Miami Gardens home Saturday afternoon and then attacked the 16-year-old girl.

The girl is recovering.

The cougar's owner, Alan Rigerman, says he believes the teen snuck onto his property along with a 21-year-old man and messed with the locks on the animal enclosures.

The 21-year-old was arrested on burglary charges.
