A Colorado judge has sentenced some repeat offenders to a punishment he believes fits the crime.
Offenders have been sentenced to listen to music from "Barney", Barry Manilow and a playlist of other not-so-hip music for one hour after violating the town of Lupton's noise ordinance.
Most of the people played car or home stereos too loud, while a few were cited for extremely loud band practice.
After seeing the same repeat offenders just pay a fine; the judge decided to try something else.
Judge Paul Sccao of Denver Municipal Court said, "This is a way, when I look back, of teaching.”
Officials take surveys after each session. If too many people like a particular song--it's taken off the playlist.
