If it's free -- it's for me!

That's what some consumers could be saying if plans for free broadband across the country come to pass.

The FCC Chairman believes ‘free-access’ would help cover demand for broadband in rural underserved areas.

It sounds good but, what does this means for the economy? Many people would loose jobs in the industry; Verizon,AT&T,Comcast, etc. At this critical time during this economy crisis, it doesn't sound like a good idea. There has to be other solutions. Besides, nothings free. Right?
