How Do You Feel About ' Free' Internet?
The Federal Communications Commission will vote on that measure at their December 18th meeting. Under the proposal, 25 percent of new airwaves for broadband would have to be free across the U.S.

If it's free -- it's for me!
That's what some consumers could be saying if plans for free broadband across the country come to pass.
The Federal Communications Commission will vote on that measure at their December 18th meeting. Under the proposal, 25 percent of new airwaves for broadband would have to be free across the U.S.
The FCC Chairman believes ‘free-access’ would help cover demand for broadband in rural underserved areas.

It sounds good but, what does this means for the economy? Many people would loose jobs in the industry; Verizon,AT&T,Comcast,etc. At this critical time during this economy crisis, it doesn't sound like a good idea. There has to be other solutions. Besides, nothings free. Right?
