Florida joins the multi-state settlement with the makers of Florida-based Airborne over deceptive advertising issues.
Under the $7 million agreement, Airborne Health, Inc. will change their marketing slogans, which included selling the product as a "cold prevention remedy," a "sore throat remedy," a "germ fighter" and an "allergy remedy" - all without scientific proof of those claims.
The settlement covers all airborne products, and also addresses the company's failure to warn consumers about potential health risks to certain populations, including pregnant women.
