Almost half of American adults make one or more resolutions each year.
Topping the list are weight loss and exercise.
But the odds of you carrying out those resolutions, according to research is slim.
So we wanted to find out what your New Year's resolutions are.
"To actually plan and carry out a wedding with my fiance," Noah Broadstreet, a resident said.
I plan on quitting smoking this year," Leah Henson, a resident said.
"Well my first goal is to get in better health and my second is to help those who need help," Mattie Henderson, a resident said.
My new year's resolution is to quit smoking cigarettes," Ian White, a resident said.
"I do plan on getting married this year that's one thing that I'm going to carry out and also I'm going to quit smoking. I can't stand smoking so I'm definitely going to drop that," Daniel Broadstreet, a resident said.
"No I don't think so, I just go along day to day in the same way," Bobbie Ball, a resident said.
Research shows people who explicitly make resolutions are ten times for likely to attain their goals than people who don't.
So if you're looking for a change in your life..why not set some goals for yourself?...because you never know what could happen.
If you're still stuck on what your resolution will be.....Some other popular ones we ran into today were: Save money, get back into shape, eat right, go back to school, take more vacations, volunteer to help others, and learn something new.
