The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that happened at approximately 8:25 Saturday night. The incident happened on Hinote Road near the intersection of Osage Road in the Mossy Head area.

Deputies learned from the four different witnesses that as they were traveling on Hinote Road and approaching Osage Road they heard what was described as a shotgun blast coming from the wooded area.

Two of the drivers sustained minor, non life-threatening injuries. One of the vehicles that had been shot at had three children in the back seat which luckily had not been hit.

The suspect at the time of the shooting may have been wearing a green shirt and brown khaki shorts.
