Two small children are reunited with their mother, and their father is in jail this morning, after an alleged kidnapping and car chase, spanning three area counties.

It started around 8:45 Thursday morning, with a call to the Jackson County Sheriff's office, about a domestic violence issue on Willmar road, in Kynesville.

The caller said two small children, ages three and six, were being forced into a vehicle against their will by their father, William Clayton Anderson.

A neighbor heard the children screaming, and tried to stop Anderson; but Anderson threatened the neighbor with a baseball bat -- then sped away.

Hours later, deputies tried to catch Anderson at a home off state road 274 in Calhoun County... But he took off with the kids again.

Calhoun County Sheriff's deputies joined the hunt.

The Florida Highway Patrol set up roadblocks, but deputies had to jump out of the way when Anderson drove right at them.

The car chase ended around seven last night, when Anderson stopped the vehicle in a pasture on Sweetwater Branch Road, in Bay County.

Anderson is in the Bay County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing on numerous felony charges.

The children are okay.

We are all human beings and we all make our mistakes. However this man loves and cares for his kids and yes and made a very bad judgement. But there is two sides to every story and most of you judge without knowing the truth. Yes is has made a very bad mistake and will have time to think about what he has done wrong. But please know this man has always been a wonderful father to his kids and if you knew the truth you would understand. What he was thinking was out of heart which got out of hand. May GOD be with you...

I do not thank that he need's to see the kid's.If he loved then he would have did it the right way. If you love then would have not gon that way you could have killed you and the kid's any one that do's that do's not need kid's.The one that can not have kid's what's one.You that have them and then you do them like that you do not need them. You need to let some one have them that will GIVE THEM LOVE AND BE WHAT THEN NEED AND HELP THEM IN LIVE. MAY THE KID'S GET WHAT THEN NEED TO BE GOOD KID'S
