Great weather Tuesday to skip school, and one group of area students did just that, spending the day partying at the beach.
It's all part of the 36th Annual Margaret K. Lewis beach party.
Each year disabled students from the Millville school hit the beach for lunch and a dance party hosted by schooners.
Students got to play on the beach and compete in a dance party.
"They love it, and I have had a lot of the volunteers tell me they have been looking forward to it for weeks. But I will tell you, I don't know if the staff enjoys it more than the kids, because we look forward to it every year as well," said Schooners Marketing Manager Ashley Capps.
Since the yearly parties started 36 years ago, only one year has been missed, and that was the year following Hurricane Opal.
