This year nearly 100,000 patients received care at local hospital emergency departments. For too many patients, long wait times were an aggravation. Learn how one hospital is reducing ER wait times.
Folks over at Gulf Coast Medical Center are making convenience a top priority these days. Starting Friday, you can log on to their website and find out 'Wait Times' at the Emergency Room. Wait times will be listed at: www.gcmc-pc.com
It shows the average time it takes for a patient to be seen by a physician after referral. It is for patients with urgent, not emergency, needs. Patients with medical emergencies, stroke, chest pain, trauma, etc., are still seen immediately.
