PANAMA CITY BEACH - There was great weather Thursday night for the Third Annual Bay County Chamber of Commerce Block Party.
Hundreds showed up for the event at the Chamber offices, which had to be postponed last month due to bad weather.
Chamber members gave away hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, cotton candy, snacks, and cold drinks.
Co-sponsor Ink-Trax, which is located across the street, gave away free t-shirts to those who donated pet supplies for the Humane Society of Bay County.
They also hired the band True Soul to play for the crowd.
Brittany Cole, the Vice-President of Communication for the Bay County Chamber said, "We put this on every year because we just want to give back to the community. And our board of directors, it gives them a chance to actually get out there and serve the community and you can talk to them one on one. So, we do this as a fun, free event for the community."
This is the only Chamber event of the year that is free and open to the public.
