One person died and another was seriously injured in a single car traffic crash on Okaloosa Island on Highway 98 at Pier Road early Sunday morning.
The Florida Highway patrol says 48 year old Lesie Hornback of Santa Rosa Beach ran off US 98 onto the gravel shoulder, over corrected and overturned. Hornback, the driver, and a passenger were ejected.
The passenger, identified 36 year old Tracey Lynn Louks was taken to Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Hornback was life-flighted to Sacred Heart in Pensacola in serious condition.
