Gov. Charlie Crist has told participants in a "kids only" town hall meeting that it's important to listen and learn.
The governor, though, left the meeting Tuesday at Tallahassee's City Hall without waiting to hear from a panel of 12 students from across Florida.
Crist left that task to Florida's Children and Youth Cabinet, which is chaired by Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp and includes several agency heads. The students asked questions on such subjects as teen pregnancy, drug abuse, mental health and early childhood education.
The discussion was part of Children's Week. More than 200 events across the state are planned, including hands-on educational opportunities, science projects and other activities at the Florida Capitol.
