Employees at a spa in Walton County spent the day raising money for animals.
For every facial given at Oasis Skin Care in Miramar Beach, 100 percent of the proceeds were donated to Alaqua Animal Refuge.
Alaqua Animal Refuge is the area's only no-kill shelter.
Along with the pampering, patients were given a goody-bag filled with skin care products and dog treats.
Kerrie Beth Dalal is an aesthetician at the clinic and came up with the idea after volunteering at the refuge.
"They really need help right now. the economy we have a lot fewer adoptions and a lot more dogs just being surrendered because families can't afford to keep them any longer. So, anything I can do to help," says Dalal.
Dalal expects to donate more than $ 500 to Alaqua Animal Refuge just from Wednesday’s event.
