Two Local Men Have Died In Two Seperate Traffic Crashes this weekend

It began Friday night in a multi vehicle crash on East 11th Street near Redwood Ave.

Panama City Police say 33 year old Lewis Lowder died when his motorcycle collided with a S-U-V driven by a local woman.

Lowder dfied at the scene. Poilice say the investigation is still ongoing. No charges havebeen filed at this poiunt in the probe.

Meanwhile, A 22-year-old Southport man has been killed in a car crash in Calhoun County.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Thomas Justin Spence was killed, and his father, 50- year-old Thomas Wesley Spence, was critically injured in the crash.

Troopers say Older Spence was passing a car on a rain slick highway when he lost control and crashed broadsided into a large tree.

The accident happened at about 6:20 Sunday morning on State Road 20, just west of Blountstown.

Investigators say the driver lost control of his pick-up truck, causing it to hydroplane during a heavy rain storm.

The vehicle then crashed into a large tree.
