A man pulled over Friday and arrested for possession of drugs faced his first appearance Saturday morning and bonded out shortly after.
On Friday investigators with the Jackson County Drug Task Force pulled over Randall Stuart Ward. He is a member of the Malone City Council.
A Narcotics Detection K-9 alerted officers to the odor of Narcotics being emitted from the driver's door of the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle did reveal drugs and Ward was taken to the Jackson County Jail where he's being charged with possession of listed chemicals used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The judge set ward's bond for $3,000.
