You will soon have one less option for buying groceries in Panama City.
Albertsons' Corporate Offices announced Wednesday morning it is closing the Albertsons Store located on the corner of Highway 77 and 23rd Street.
Management told employees they would be out of the job at the end of this month.
An Albertsons spokesperson says the decision was made to close the store over the normal course of business.
He went on to say, it is at no fault of the store associates, saying they certainly tried their best.
This is the second Albertsons Store to close in Bay County in the last 10-years.
The Callway location shut its doors after competition, like Super Wal-Mart, moved into that area.
