Well, it wasn't about seafood, but senior citizens had a festival of their own this afternoon.
They call it, simply, the 2006 Fall Festival. The Senior Center hosted some talented guests both young and old to tickle your fancy and give you some downright original entertainment.
But the Fall Festival wasn't only about a good time. The money raised also went to a good cause.
Beth Coulliette of the Bay County Council on Aging said, "We're raising funds to provide services for the Respis Center. The Respis Center serves people who have memory impairment, Alzheimer’s, and other problems associated with memory impairment."
Couliette says for every dollar raised state and federal funds matched it with $9. She says she expects to raise between $25,000 and $30,000 from the event.
The event wrapped up with word from many of Florida's political campaigns.
