It appears a five-month-old Walton County girl, who died about 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, was not a victim of foul play.
Thursday, the medical examiners office said Katelynn Delong died of natural causes.
Delong's parents say the child stopped breathing around 2 p.m. They called paramedics to this home off Whitfield Road in Portland. The paramedics could not revive the child.
The child's father says he had taken the baby to Walton County Hospital earlier in the day because she was having trouble breathing. He says hospital staff sent them home.
Today the medical examiner's office performed an autopsy and ruled the child died of natural causes. Sheriff's investigators have ruled that there was no foul play.
