Since 2007 the nation and Bay County's real estate market has plummeted, leaving many to wonder where the bottom lies.

A Bay County Realtor believes it may finally be here.

He says the key indicator is when homes are selling for the asking price.

That's what's happening in Bay County.

"Houses that are priced properly are getting multiple offers and going if not at or above the asking price," says Randy Poe with Keller Williams Success Realty.

When NewsChannel 7 met Poe Friday morning he was doing a walk through with some clients in a four bedroom two story home and just to give you an idea of how great the deals are out there right now this home in 2007 was going in the MLS for just over $900,000 and today it's coming in at just over $300,000."

Although, he can't legally say what his clients are bidding for the bank-owned home, he says with the $100,000 window treatments, hardwood flooring and stainless steal appliances it is a steal.

"Now is the time to buy, but be prepared with an offer because it will go quickly because there are other people that will find the home and love it too," says Poe.

He also says if you're in the market for home the best deals are foreclosure properties owned by banks.
