Volunteers with the Toys For Kids Foundation were busy this Saturday.
Volunteers and riders got together for the second annual Ashley Slonina Memorial Poker Run.
Organizers say the foundation is proud to honor the Slonina family to remember Ashley the former Mosley and Gulf Coast student who lost her life during after a motorcycle crash at the University of Florida.
All the riders met, signed up and took off at 10AM at Beef O'Brady's in Lynn Haven.
"Rosemary and I have been involved with toys for kids for several years and with Ashley's passing last year it makes it extra special that they have honored us and her friends in her name, with this great organization." said Jim Slonina, Ashley's father.
And Ken McVay said, "Jim and Rose Slonina have been great friends to the organization and to us personally for some time and we decided about two years ago to hold a benefit for ashley, in her honor. She was killed tragically in a motor vehicle accident. And today is a great day, all proceeds go to Toys for Kids Foundation."
The group made stops at Black Jack Cycles on Thomas Drive, Spinnaker Beach Club, California Cycles, the Outpost and ended at Tootsie's in Pier Park.
