Tourist Development Council, members and an Aquatic and Marine Assistance company are about to see nearly two years worth of work sink before their eyes…which is exactly the point.
Wednesday, the 125 foot tug boat called the ‘Red Sea’ will depart the St. Andrews Marina on its final voyage.
The vessel will be sunk about six-miles off the Panama City coastline.
The TDC put up $45,000 of the $75,000 price tag in the project, which TDC President Dan Rowe said is money well spent
The Red Sea will sit about 75 ft. below the surface making it the first shallow water reef project in nearly 15 years.
