Despite the fact it's going to be a big weekend for tourism, the Bay Town Trolley isn't going to be running it's usual routes this fourth of July.
According to bay town trolley management, having the holiday off is in the employee’s contract.
A few weeks ago, the trolley introduced their Saturday service for Bay County. But due to the fact the 4th falls on a Saturday, the trolley isn't going to be running.
"Unfortunately that’s on a Saturday this year which is a day we're trying to highlight new service we started. The service we started last month which is going great. We certainly look to ride on the weekends in the future. Our driver's contracts don't allow us to drive on that day," Allan Gray, of Bay County Public Transportation said.
The trolley's service will start back up next weekend.
