A motorcyclist is still recovering at a local hospital after being involved in an accident that happened Friday night. Meanwhile the other person involved in the wreck is facing DUI charges.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators say it happened a little before 9 Friday evening on North Lagoon, just west of Thomas Drive.
Authorities indicate 34-year-old Lee Scott from Ozark, Alabama was turning across North Lagoon Drive, and cut off the motorcycle being driven by 48-year-old Patrick M. McCarthy of Panama City Beach.
The two vehicles collided, throwing McCarthy off the bike and onto the ground.
Meanwhile, Lee kept driving south on north lagoon until he smashed into the back of a Leonard Crain which was in a parking lot on the shoulder of the roadway. McCarthy was taken to the hospital with injuries while Lee was arrested and charged with DUI and making an improper left hand turn.
