Does anyone know how much money Bay County will get from the drilling?? I bet not anywnere near what Tyndall and the Navy base pump into the economy. Tyndall alone pumps $616 Million into the Bay county economy. As far as flying across the state and train over the atlantic, that is totally unfeasible, the pilots would not get anywhere near the amount of training time they need over water. Plus what about the drone launch here at tyndall, they launch unmanned remote controlled planes over the gulf, you can't do that from here and launch over populated areas. Tyndall is in a position to provide valuable training to the men and women that fly and protect our freedoms. This is training that cannot be provided anywhere else. If they drill in hte gulf off of the coast of FL, that will effectively close the range in the gulf. then you will see the Bay county economy go down the tubes worse then it is now.

What Tom Neubauer, Jerry Girvin, & Bill Nelson, fail to look at is the fact that with todays technology once the well is drilled, the drill rig can be moved to a new drilling location. Once the rig is moved, everything else can be piped under water & you will never know the well head is there unless you have GPS readings for it. To Tom Neubauer, Jerry Girvin, & Bill Nelson, i say get your head out of the sand & take a realistic look at this. Florida needs some new industry, LETS DRILL !!

Y'all be careful! You might scare people. That's your goal though, isn't it? Swimming puts swimmers at risk, too. Might want to look into that.

Oil is more important than anything. Remember "Drill Baby Drill" is the slogan of the Republican Party. Without oil there can be no military operations at all. They will just have to move the bases to an area that will not bother the oil drilling. Sorry, but oil come first!
