"Front Beach Road Associates said they would consider using electric cars on the track" The patrons might enjoy the electric cars even more that the gas powered cars. More power, more torque. To the business owners, electric cars would mean, less maintenance, no fuel & oil costs, less noise, (less for the neighbors to complain about) they could regulate the car speeds easier through electronics. If they install solar pannels they wouldent even have to pay to recharge the cars, plus the tax credit benefits they would receive for being "green".

And I'm guessing that the business owners will"consider" electric cars but for some reason or another find them lacking. But,hey, they did as they said and considered electric cars. Some things never change and businesses doing whatever they want is one of those things.

If the nearby homeowners didn't want the noise they shouldn't have bought on the beach. They also should have stayed for the whole meeting instead of hearing want they wanted and leaving. Politians always change their decisions after the people leave. They say one thing to your face and do another behind your back. It also sounds like these residents only have time to complain about things. They want to promote the beach to vacationing families but without things for the children to do other than the beach then families aren't going to come. Everybody says not in my neighborhood. If not there, where? I have an idea -- bring back the big Miracle Strip Amusement Park and Petticoat Junction --- something for the whole family.

"That decision is not sitting well with some of the nearby homeowners, who say a go-cart track will be too noisy. During the meeting representatives from Front Beach Road Associates said they would consider using electric cars on the track instead of gasoline engines to cut back on the noise." This sounds like a fair resolution to the sorrounding neighbors noise concerns. But (im guessing) the neighbors probably still object ?.?
