City P-D Says It Needs Your Help

Despite Panama City Police Department’s success last year with no homicides, they say it’s not enough.

In 2006, 12 people were shot including 2 just last week even though 200 handguns have been confiscated. Officials say more needs to be done to eliminate all violence.

They have had plenty of success in keeping crimes down, but they haven t been doing this alone.

You have helped, and they need your hard work to continue to let them know where illegal activities may be taking place.

Capt Dan Bates says your participation is badly needed. "We really want to get the word out to people in Panama City to call us and let us know where these gun shots are, where these so called gangs are hanging out, where the reported drug activity is."
