Two Arrested, One Still Sought in Murder Case

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people and is seeking a third in connection with a deadly shooting January 3 on Bayou Drive in the Ocean City area.

Twenty-four-year-old Marcus Lee Gray, no known address, is charged with an open count of murder, home invasion robbery, and kidnapping.

Twenty-seven-year-old Abraham Alex Evans of 625 Oak Street, unit C, in Fort Walton Beach, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder, accessory before/after the fact to home invasion robbery, and accessory before/after the fact to kidnapping.

Deputies are working to locate 21-year-old Stacy Bernard Brown of 1808 Osie Brown Drive in Fort Walton Beach. He faces charges of an open count of murder, home invasion robbery, and kidnapping.

Investigators say Brown and Gray are responsible for shooting 41-year-old Jonathan Jones and 29-year-old Samuel Burns around 4 a.m. Wednesday at Burns’ mobile home off Bayou Drive. Jones died at the scene. Burns is being treated at a hospital in Mobile Alabama.

A safe stolen from Burns’ home contained cash, several watches, and a number of baggies of cocaine.
