Panama City Murder Not a Random Act of Violence

Panama City police now say a shooting at a Grace Avenue home early Wednesday morning was a planned murder.

Police believe 20-year-old Adam Bolton was killed in an ongoing drug conflict between several drug dealers in Panama City.

Bolton's cousin noticed the front door was open when he came to pick Bolton up for work around 7:30 Wednesday morning.

His cousin found Bolton dead inside with a gun lying beside him.

"This was not a random act of violence that happened down there on Grace Avenue. Interviewing the roommate and other people, we truly believe this was a planned act by a group of people," said Panama City Police Captain Dan Bates.

Police say about 20 investigators are working on the case.
