The attorney for a Georgia man, accused of D-U-I Manslaughter, is trying to cast doubts in juror's minds, that his client was the one in the driver's seat, the night a local woman lost her life.

Opening arguments began Tuesday morning in the trial of 27-year-old Storm Patrick Wood.

Authorities say Wood was drunk last September, when he crashed his motorcycle near the entrance to St. Andrew State Park. His passenger, a 34-year-old Panama City Beach woman named Robin Arnett, was killed.

Assistant State Attorney Timothy Register is prosecuting the case.

“Her body was traveling about 55 MPH when she hit the U-Turn sign. That U-Turn sign cut her up and she died on the roadside that night."

"But because he had seen this couple on a bike before that he can't identify in any way, shape or form, he decided that those were the same people and he decided that Mr.Wood was riding the bike before the crash. Other than that there is no evidence."

Ms. Arnett left behind 3-children. Court officials expect the jury will get the case sometime Wednesday afternoon.
