Living on the beautiful emerald coast we often see creative and catchy airborne advertising , but this one tops it all.
Traveling 1500 feet in the air at only 32 miles (28 knots) an hour-- the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel blimp is gracing the skies of the southeast to promote their grand opening in Atmore, Alabama.
The nearly 200 foot airship is piloted by Captain Carl Harbuck, who happens to be one of the most experienced blimp pilots in the world.
Harbuck is a former Army Apache Helicopter Pilot. He said he's got his work cut out for him; the blimp will be soaring through the skies of the southeast for the next 365 days.
One of the wonderful features of the airship is the 70' by 30' LED video screen--making it one of only three blimps in the world to use the technology. So, whether it be day or night, the blimp won't be hard to miss.
Wind Creek Casino and Hotel includes 226 luxury rooms and over 55,000 square feet of electronic casino games.
Erick Evans, Wind Creek Public Relations, said in honor of the special grand opening, they wanted to something a little different.
"Wind Creek Casino recently opened in January of this year, and it started out as just a casino, but has transformed into a world class destination,” said Evans. “So, to promote Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in a unique way, we wanted to go with the biggest and best, and blow everyone out of the water."
If your looking to take a break from the panhandle, Atmore, Alabama is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Pensacola.

You got to know when to walk away, and know when to run. You don't need casinos, it brings in societal elements you don't need. Quit trying to cater to every market and focus on the core that built what you have - families, and the good clean fun that made PCB special for many over the years.
it was cool to see the blimp over my pier
