A St. Andrews area house fire kept Panama City firefighters busy before dawn Thursday morning.
Firefighters got the call about a fire at 1407 Fortune Avenue at 3:45 a.m. By the time crews arrived, the front of the house was covered in flames.
They got the fire under control in 20 minutes.
Emergency workers found the man who rents the house, Carlos Hollinger, and he's okay. He actually wasn't home at first but came up to find the fire. He wasn’t injured.
Panama City Fire Department Investigator Lt. Mike Cosoti says the home was about 90 percent destroyed. The department and the State Fire Marshal's Office are probing the ruins to help determine the cause.
