Blountstown firefighters say around 2:00 Thursday afternoon a fire broke out in a trailer manufacturing facility just west of Blountstown. Firefighters responded quickly and put out the blaze after two hours, but the facility remains a total loss.

Officials still don't know the cause of the fire, but say thankfully, no one was hurt.

"We think because the origin was in the paint shop portion of the building. The fire spread very rapidly. Approximately 40 to 45 employees here. They all did evacuate safely, no injuries at all in the fire," said Calhoun County Sheriff David Tatum:

The Chipola Regional Workforce Board will hold a meeting Friday for the employees to discuss benefits and cash assistance.

The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Blountstown One Stop on Highway 71.
