A local man who gave more than his fair share to local children is honored in a memorial at Oakland Terrace Park in Panama City.

The park is now dedicated to Gordon Anglin. Anglin helped get all the equipment you see at the park through his work with the Oakland Terrace Men's Club. Now, Panama City officials are sprucing up the park again with all new equipment.

"He always two or three times a week he'd come over and circle and check and be sure everything was safe. He wanted the best for the children of this community," says Mozelle Anglin, Gordon’s wife.

The new playground equipment will be handicapped accessible.
