Golfers at Hombre Golf Course got quite a surprise Tuesday afternoon when a man crashed and flipped is vehicle into the muddy ditch right in front of the course.

Emergency crews, Panama City Beach Police and Panama City Beach Fire and Rescue officials responded to the single car crash on Back Beach Road around 3:50 Tuesday and found the Kia you see in the video, upside down in the ditch. But, before EMS arrived --the driver took off running across the golf course.

It appeared at the time of the crash, the driver was headed Eastbound on Back Beach Road before he oveturned his vehicle. The shirtless man you see in the video is the passenger--he was treated for minor injuries.

The impact of the crash splattered mud on the vehicles that were parked in the lot nearly 15 feet away. Authorities did locate and arrest the driver, and believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
