Alternative Spring Break

Some spring breakers actually prefer to work as long as it's for a good cause. Such is the case for the students from Blackburn College and Syracuse University in New York.

Friday they are building a Habitat for Humanity home for a local needy family. The students say they don't regret giving up the traditional spring break.

"I've done both. I can't say I've never done the beach Spring Break, but this is an experience like nothing you've ever had. You come away knowing that you literally helped build a house for someone that didn't have a place to live before, didn't have a home. It's been, it's incredible," says Sarah King from Syracuse University.

Students from Blackburn College and Syracuse University come down every year to help build local Habitat for Humanity homes.
