On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, U.S. Congressman Allen Boyd (D-North Florida) will hold a community forum at the Gulf Coast Community College Gymnasium to discuss healthcare reform and other issues before Congress.
The forum, originally scheduled for August 28, will allow Congressman Boyd to hear from the people of Bay County on the latest developments in the national healthcare debate, as well as other issues.
“The strong interest in town hall meetings throughout North Florida shows that the public is very engaged on the important issues facing the country today, healthcare in particular, which is a good and positive thing,” said Congressman Boyd. “This forum will be an opportunity for me to hear from the people of Bay County and discuss what responsible healthcare reform should look like. I look forward to this constructive dialogue.”
Reserved seating will be available for those who had tickets to the postponed forum in August. These ticket holders must bring their August tickets in order to access the reserved seating and must arrive to the gymnasium no later than 5:15 p.m. CST. The event will be held at the Gulf Coast Community College Billy Harrison Gymnasium and begin at 5:30 p.m. and tentatively end at 7 p.m.
