Some area Girl Scouts want are sending their cookies overseas this year.
Brownie Troop 517 is asking that when you buy your cookies this year you buy some for our troops overseas as well. The girls are also trying to raise money to help ship the annual yummies to Iraq and Kuwait.
Sunday the girls will be in front of the Rainbow Store on Highway 77 from 11 to 3 and at the Winn-Dixie on 231 from 3 to 5.
They say everyone likes Girl Scout cookies and the men and women serving overseas should get to have some of the goodies too.
"My mommy and me are asking people to buy cookies for the soldiers because my papa is over there fighting," says Sarah Boullard.
