Mother and Daughter in Critical Condition After Being Shot in Their Home

Two people are in the hospital, a third is still on the loose after a shooting in Panama City Beach. It happened about 6:15 Tuesday night at a duplex off North Lagoon Drive.

Bay County sheriff's investigators are still trying to piece together what happened, but at this point they say that an unknown black man shot a mother and daughter inside their home.

The two women are now in critical condition. One was shot in the back, the other in the stomach. The shooting happened inside this duplex off of Banyan Street. Neighbors say they heard three or four shots and saw a suspicious white, older model sedan speed away from the scene shortly after.

One investigator says the mother and daughter did not know the shooter.
