A 14-year-old spent some time in the hospital Friday night after being attacked by a group of teens with a baseball bat. Meanwhile cops are on the lookout for the suspects who allegedly caused the boy's injuries.
According to the Panama City Police Dept. Officials it happened in downtown Panama City near the Paul Brent Gallery after the teen was leaving the Jaycee's Haunted House.
They say a group of teens in a silver or gray Scion pulled up next to the boy and stole both of his cell phones. However, during the process they say the victim put up a fight and was struck with a bat.
They say he received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Sgt. Jeff Becker with Panama City Police Dept. says a similar instance happened again a short time after at the Turtle Lakes Apartments.
If you have any information on either of these incidents you're asked to call the Panama City Police Dept., at 872-3100.
