Another fatal crash just north of Southport on Highway 77 Saturday afternoon kills three local people, bringing the death toll to four people in less than 24 hours on that half mile stretch of Highway 77.

Florida Highway Patrol investigators say 30-year-old Christopher Michael Gregg of Panama City was driving a white sports car and attempting to pass a group of cars heading southbound.

Witnesses say Gregg had been speeding and passing people all down the road, but he finally ran into trouble, colliding with 63-year-old Bobby Lee Brown and 58-year-old Barbara Brown's car coming from the other direction.

The Brown’s are from Southport. FHP officials say all three died at the scene of the crash.
