The crash happened about 9:20 Wednesday morning on Douglas Ferry Road in Vernon. State troopers say the bus driver ran onto the shoulder of the road, lost control of the bus, and wound-up in the ditch.
Three of the four students went on to school. A mother took the fourth child to the hospital for a more thorough check-up.
School officials say seatbelts and other restraints helped protect the students.
