Surfside Students Overdose

Panama City Beach police are investigating a drug overdose involving two young teenagers.

Surfside Middle School administrators called police after a sixth graders showed signs of an overdose. Forty-five minutes later officers were back at the school when a 7th grader showed the same symptoms.

Investigators say they were able to determine one of the students had stolen some anti-depressants from his mother's roommate, and that the two teens took the pills at their bus stop.

Paramedics took both students to Bay Medical center for treatment. Charges are pending.
