Manufacturers of temporary structures are showing off their products at the Bay Point Marriott resort this week during the Department of Defense's joint committee on tactical shelters.
These structures are used in times of war overseas and during disasters here in the United States.
DHS systems is displaying its deployable rapid assembly shelter, nicknamed DRASH.
"It's rapidly deployable. This shelter that we're standing in now can be set up by 6 people in under 1 hour. It allows commanders in the field or civilian agencies to be fully up and operational in a very short time. If the theater changes they can tear it down and move it as rapidly as they can set it up,” says Mark Wazlek, DRASH representative.
The mobile command centers will be on display at Bay Point through Wednesday, November 4th.
