The Unit Two reactor at Southern Company's Farley Nuclear Plant near Dothan is again generating full power after a problem delayed its restart following a refueling operation.
That's according to a statement issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Washington.
Located in southeast Alabama near the Georgia and Florida state lines, the reactor was taken off-line for routine maintenance last month.
A circuit breaker tripped twice and prevented the unit from being restarted earlier this month, but the problem was fixed.
The NRC report said the reactor power was slowly increased over several days before it reached 100-percent.
