On Thursday between the hours of 7:30 p.m.. and 8:00 p.m., the two victims of the robbery were parked at Deerpoint Dam when an 80’s model, white Chevy S-10 or Ford Ranger extended-cab approached them.

The vehicle was occupied by two white males, both were in their 30’s, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. Both suspects were wearing ball caps, one had a red t-shirt on and the other a dark-colored hoodie.

The suspects asked the two victims if they wanted to purchase marijuana. The victims declined, at which time the suspects became aggressive and belligerent. The suspects then attacked one of the victims and stabbed him numerous times, while ripping his wallet out of his back pants pocket. When the other victim attempted to assist his friend, he was also stabbed. The vehicle then fled towards Highway 231 on Deerpoint Dam Road.

The stolen wallet is described as an American Eagle, brown leather wallet. The wallet contained the victim’s driver’s license, social security card, gift cards and $120.00 in US currency. Investigators request if the wallet is found, do not handle the wallet and contact law enforcement immediately

Anyone who may have information in reference to this incident should contact Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 850-747-4700 or Investigator Jayson Deese at 850-248-2116.

If the county would have some better lighting installed, remove the street lights they currently have out there & put in some decent directional lighting. They would probably resolve some of the night time problems they have out there. I used to drive past the dam at night regularly when i was working in PC. Neither side of the dam is well luminated.

That's only about a five minute WALK from my house. You can't even do any night fishing anymore without worrying about getting attacked. Brings to mind that drug-related murder that took place there 10 years ago. And they used to say that Panama City was a great place to live. It's turning into another Miami.
