Their loved one is home and away from the dangers in the streets of Iraq.
After months of worrying, the Goodson family is happy to have their hero home. Lee Goodson left for Iraq in January. The last few months have some of the bloodiest yet and Goodson's mom Lana says it's been hard not to watch the news all day long.
Nineteen-year-old Goodson is from Panama City Beach. He attended Arnold High School and Shaw Adult Center before signing up for the Army, and he got a hero's welcome complete with a limo at Bay County Airport.
The 19-year-old is home for two weeks before heading back to Iraq. Goodson and family are headed to Georgia for a reunion so he can see everyone. His mom Lana Lane says it will be hard to share but she'll enjoy the time she gets with him.
